Probably the most universal topic about stewardship is the parable of the Talents (Matthew 25) because it communicates two foundational Stewardship Principle’s in one convenient-bite size piece,- ownership and accountability. There are other verses that teach individual principles, such as, warning against being in Debt (Prov. 22:7), saving for the Future (Prov. 21:20), giving to help Others (2Corinthians 9:6-15). |

We want to thank Fred and Linda Broome for the wonderful addition to St Michael's. The handrail at the entrance of the Church makes it easier for all of us to maneuver the steps. The rail can be easily removed to allow both doors to open. Thanks again for thinking of our comfort and safety. Blessings, St. Michael's |

Consecration of the 10th Bishop of Georgia January 23,2010 at 11 am in the Main Hall of the Savannah International Trade Center- no ticket required. We Need someone willing to process with the St Michael's banner. you don't need to vest, just walk in the parade of banners, place it in its stand and be seated to worship with all of the diocese. Please talk to Rev. Kit, if you are ready and willing to bear the banner of St Michael's on such a special occasion. The Rev. Scott Benhase was elected September 12th as tenth bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Georgia. Benhase, 52, rector of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C. (Diocese of Washington), was elected on the second ballot out of a field of six nominees. He received 76 votes of 146 cast in the lay order and 58 of 103 cast in the clergy order. An election on that ballot required 74 in the lay order and 53 in the clergy order. The election took place during the diocese’s 188th annual convention at the Dubose Porter Center, a business and training center in Dublin, Georgia. The ordination and consecration is set for January 23, 2010 at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center. Benhase, who graduated from Virginia Theological Seminary, served congregations in Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia before being called to St. Alban’s in 2006. He is married to Kelly Jones Benhase and they have three children, John, 21; Charley, 18 and Mary Grace, 16. |

We successfully ordained Terri and Jim on Wednesday evening. It was an amazing celebration with 170 plus in attendance. The church looked glorious, with so many smiling faces of Terri’s and Jim’s family and friends. I wish we could see them every Sunday. |
